Chats are text-only messages sent between mission members from ArcGIS Mission Manager or ArcGIS Mission Responder. The Chat tool used in ArcGIS Mission Responder is accessible from the mission map.
Chats can be sent to any mission member, group of members, team, or teams. Chats to active users are sent in real time. Chats can be sent to inactive users, but these are stored and sent when the user becomes active again.
All chats appear in the mission feed. When viewing a chat in the feed, the last message sent is displayed, along with sender and the approximate time it was sent. When opening a chat from the feed, all messages are displayed with sender, date, and time.
When the Chat tool is opened, all chats you created or in which you participated are listed, along with the option to create a chat.
